friends gone over the Rainbow Bridge

On March 6, 2004, the inspiration for Mad Dog Design’s name, a handsome mutt named Mason crossed Rainbow Bridge. He lived to the ripe old age of 13.5 – pretty amazing for a 100 l.b. dog.

Charlie, the other half of Mad Dog’s namesake, was a beloved member of Michelle’s family until he crossed Rainbow Bridge on March 2, 2012. He also lived to be 13.5, and he is missed dearly to this day. His handsome mug continues to welcome website visitors.

Barkley did his best to fill their very large pawprints. He was perfection on paws, a bright light of love and acceptance of all. He lost the battle against an aggressive genetic leukemia a month shy of his 5th birthday on September 23, 2023. He wasn’t done working his magic, as he sent a very young, scared, and shy golden that had a very tough start in life, to his family less than a month later. Cooper isn’t as interested in design as his brothers, but he’s always at Michelle’s feet, ready to get her to take a break and respark her creativity.

If you have the opportunity to adopt a dog, or any pet, into your life, please do, whether it’s a purebred, like Charlie and Barkley, or a mutt like Manson. There may be difficult moments as your new family member adjusts to your home, but they are minor compared to the unconditional love you’ll get from your adopted furkid.

Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue is always looking for good people to rescue and foster, as well as your local Humane Society.

Thank you from the Pack at Mad Dog Design Inc.
